SUPPORT THE EMPLOYEE FREE CHOICE ACT: CALL YOUR SENATOR NOW
On Tuesday, June 26, the U.S. Senate will vote on the Employee Free Choice Act. The legislation legalizes "card check," which provides that a union will be recognized as soon as a majority of workers have signed up for the union. The law also prevents employers from failing to bargain to get to the first contract.
Help make the final push we need to get this important law passed. A majority of the Senate is committed to voting for the Employee Free Choice Act--legislation that is critical to restoring the workers' rights to organize unions and secure a path towards economic security. We need your help to try to get to the 60 votes needed to close debate so that the the majority's will can be done.
This legislation is a major priority for DSA. Call your Senator on the toll free number and urge them to vote for the Employee Free Choice Act.
