Campaign to Fire
Federal Reserve Bank Chairman Ben Bernanke Sen.
Bernie Sanders is leading an effort to prevent Federal Reserve Chairman Ben
Bernanke's confirmation for a second term by the Senate. DSA wholeheartedly
supports this campaign.
When he
started this campaign few thought that it might be possible to buck the
president and the wall street establishment, yet most now think that if the
Senate does confirm Bernanke it will be with the lowest level of support for a
Federal Reserve Chair in the history of the position.
Majority
Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has indicated that the vote on confirmation will take
place this week. Now is the time to call your Senators to voice your opposition
to Bernanke's reappointment and the neoliberal agenda it represents.
Here

Call both of your Senators tomorrow
and ask them to vote against confirmation of Bernanke. You can be connected to
your Senator's office by calling the Capitol Switch Board at 202-224-3121. Additionally you can sign Bernie's petition calling for a change of leadership at the Fed. More than 8300 have already signed. You can add your name by clicking here. In solidarity,
